I made this card for my Uncle he is the matriarc of our family and the most senior member. He has my repect. And i feel his is the genuine article in our family. I feel that this came out in the inspiration i had for his card. Without any thought i banged this one out.

GLOSSY RAISED 3D BUTTERFLY

Oh boy, did i really enjoy making this one. This is a retired stamp from america, called Stipple Butterfly. I purple staz on the butterfly and then coloured it with embossing markers and every colour is emobossed as a layer. So each time i used another colour i used another layer of clear embossing to raise the gloss level and to stiffen up the card underneath the butterfly. The butterfly wings became quit stiff so i was able to get them to stand up permanently on their own.

Hey and notice that gorgeous new thank you stamp from the new " ONLY OVAL" stamp set, sure to be one of my favourite sets from this years cattie. And of course i used the wide oval punch to punch it out. And of course another favourite of mine the new eyelet border punch, oh i so love that punch, just incase you couldnt tell. Checkout these stamps in the catalogue on page 93 and of course you know the page of the punches (152 & 153).

RECTANGLE BOX AND LID

My friend Caroline Potter came over
the other night wanting some help to
make her friend gail a very special
birthday card and wanted my help. Of Course i said " your joken arent ya" " me". So we got to work, and we made a very special pop up card, but i did not have any envelope to give her with the card and she did say it had to be special so i quickly whipped up this retangle box and lid for her to put the card in. Everybody gets envelopes with their cards in them. But you really gotta be special to get your card in a hand made

SCRAPPY TENT CARD

Well my basket of scraps and off cuts were over flowing again, so time to do something about it. So i made this tent card out of all of my scraps. This card was inspired by kath aka Diamondz on the SCS forum of AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE. Kath made this beautiful card all out of her left overs and off cuts.

So i thought i should do the same and this is what i came up with. There was a little bit of water colour card in there, so i stamped and tripple clear embossed this beautiful su daisy stamp so that the gloss was raised on it and layered it up with card and a beautiful little thank you stamp

from the WOW flowers stamp set ($24.95) on pg 159 of the Su Ideas & Catalogue book. By the way a great set to use with the SU punches, so check it out.

TICKLED PINK WITH STIPPLED ROSE

I JUST LOVED THIS STAMP, IT IS NOW RETIRED IN AUSTRALIA SINCE APRIL BUT I WANTED IT FOR TWO YEARS BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STAMP AND EASY TO WORK WITH, I HAVE LOVED IT SINCE THE MOMENT I FIRST SAW IT.

THIS GARDENIA, HAS BEE WATER COLOURED AND 3D MOUNTED, JUST LOVE IT, SO PRETTY. THIS SU STAMP IS RETIRED IN THE US AND NOT AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA. BUT I JUST LOVE IT

WAXED PAPER UPSY DAISY

WELL THIS ONE HAD ME GOING, THE BACK GROUND IS CRUSHED WAXED PAPER AND IRONED ONTO SU GLOSSY WHITE , THEN SMEARED WITH AND SMASHED. THEN THE DAISY'S HAVE BEEN STAMPED AND CLEAR EMBOSSED TO MAINTAIN THE SHINE. THE STAMP SETS USED ARE: UPSY DAISY AND DREAMS DU JOUR.

POCKET FULL OF BLING

What a fun little card this one was too make. whilst i know the pocket fun stamp set is now retired, i was wanting to play with it. and i am really happy with it.

QUICKEST CARD EVA - CHALKING ON CARDS - 2mins

Yesterday the lovely Linda came over to do a SU workshop and taught us all how to make this lovely Versa Mark Chalking technique on our cards.Firstly you Versamark your stamp on vanilla cardstock and then using your daubers dab the chalk colours onto the parts of the image you just versamarked. It literally took 2 minutes to make.

Marker Colour Technique - Male Card

I made this card for my son as a congratualtions card because he has just brought his first house and moved into it. Which means, he's left the nest. Yes thats right my eldest has left his mummy. But never mind he only brought a house 3 doors up.
Yah. says mum.

FLOWER POT BIRTHDAY CARD - WATER COLOURED

I saw this card on split coast stampers and i thought i would give it a try. I just love this stamp and when i found out i could make a flower pot, well the bells started ringing. Then the brain started ticking over. And this is what came out.
The large magnolia stamp is water coloured with creamy caramel and certainly celery and stems are done with choc chip. and water coloured and blended. The card stock is close to cocoa, with designer paper covering the pot, with a very large satin ribbon. i was going to make it a mothers day card, but i havent got around to making barb, her birthday card as yet, so i love it so much, that i will give it to my close friend barb for her birthday.
The flower slides out and my message is on the inside. I am in love with this card.

Just a thank you Card

Just a quickie share tonight with you all. I made this birthday card for a birthday party for elle and a thank you card for a total stranger whom helped me today.

Gee its been so long since i have been able to share, been really busy and in hospital, gosh i was counting the minutes until i could get back to my computer and my stamps. The first chance i got, i made this beautiful card and box for my best friend Natalie. So let me tell you a little about the card. I used the new SU Eyelet border punch, pomegranate, card stock, ink and ribbon. The Circle scallop punch and the stamp set is from the american hostess level 1 range called Dear Friend, its a lovely little set of stamps. Now let me tell you about this goreous box. The important thing about the box is it is made completely with 12 x 12" Card stock and Designer paper, embellished with ribbon and carasel note which i traced from an original and 3 D flowered off the top. This was my first attempt.

Water Coloured magnolia

I have been dying to get my hand on this stamp for so long, i just knew it would come up beautiful as a watercoloured card. Stay tuned as i get better each time in using this stamp.

POP UP CARDS, INSIDE & FRONT

Tonight i was fortunate enough to get to go to and meet Melissa Garland at her home to do a class. And tonight i got to learn how to make pop up cards.
Here are the two that we got to
make. Isn't Melissa clever.I got 2 hours of absolute peice and pleasure during the class. I got to meet some new friends, some lollies (yummy) and Melissa's wonderful husband made us all a cuppa. Had a wonderful night. I hope you like my new cards. Check out Melissa's blog if you are interested in doing a class, she has lots of interesting techniques to teach us.

10 min.. Gift Box - Urban Garden

If that was the worlds fastest card this must be the worlds fast gift box,, it took all of 8 mins. to make and that was with embellishments.
So easy, Cut a 7.5" x 7.5"squared peice of card. Score 2" in from all corners, 8 scores in all. Cut both side tabs in to form a upside down wide U on both sides of the box and the red tape it.
Do the same with 6" x 6" peice of paper to form the lid and then embellish and decorate the sides if you wish. Put as much or as little as possible if you wish.

Groovy Choc Guava Carasel Note Box

Look at this fab Carasel Note box. Used the same technique for the base and a carasel note for the top with double stitch groovy guava ribbon and designer paper.

CAROUSEL NOTES PURSE

Last night i went to card making class and look what i made its called a carousel purse and itis simply a work of art, a master peice.I went to the lovely Linda HigginsStampin Up Demonstrators place and we used allStampin Up Products and made this amazingpurse, which stands up all by itself.It's got pockets and god knows what else.Its made with punches, stamps, inks, ribbons,card stock, tape, glue, textures. You name itI used it to make.Now if i only knew how to make it myself i could make all of my friends one each.But that wont happen cause i dont knowhow to cut it out. lol.Anyways, checkout the link on my blog to Linda Higgins and it will take you to the template for it but be warnedit is in inches.
